You read that right! Jaley is running a marathon! Progressively, that is. She has the MOST AMAZING gym teacher at school. He has motivated his entire class to run a marathon during the semester (it is also a fundraiser for the Special Olympics). Twice a week the kids have a run day. They are able to run for 25 minutes. Jaley logs in 2 1/2 miles each run day.
Today Kendall and I joined Jaley and we were able to log our miles onto her record sheet. It was really fun to watch her lap us a few times and see her interacting with her friends.

I'm proud of that girl!

The greater Houston area does something like this - called Marathon Kids - but the kids log the miles at home over the five or six months. I hope Jaley is enjoying it.
