"Does Dad ever sleep?" was what came out of Kerst's mouth on Thursday as we drove up to the house just before bedtime to find John working on the garage...still. I had to chuckle. It makes sense to a young kid. Don't you remember thinking that the store clerks, teachers and doctors lived at their place of occupation? My kids did!
So Kerst's question makes complete sense. We tuck Kerst in bed at night. Kerst finally goes to sleep. We go to bed. John wakes up at 5:00 a.m. to get ready for work and takes Julia to early morning seminary. Kerst wakes up (not very willingly most days) at 7:45 a.m. John is long gone. So...does John ever sleep? Hmmm....
