Silence

(for Honor's English; the class was asked to write a poem about the warm day in November)

Warm days in November should never be put to waste.
The open and welcoming sky invites me to rest under its embrace
And listen to the silence.
The silence surrounds me with melodies never sung before.
For silence is heaven’s choir.
Its melodies capture me in each empty tone,
Only to be interrupted by thoughts.
Thoughts that drown out the glorious silence,
Filling it with unnecessary noise.
Hectic noise, and worries about tomorrow.
But I close my eyes to feel the sun kiss my face,
And listen to the silence.Save the noise for another day
