Looked out the window

Our heart stopped for a second as I finished part of the maneuvering of the van to head up the driveway this morning to drop Jaley off at the bus stop.

Right along the landscaping (retaining wall) of our driveway, we saw this.  (Thankfully Jaley had a cellphone with a camera).  He was big.
When I came back he was gone, but two does were in the same place.

Wow! That is a heart stopper! Talk about a majestic animal. We just have squirrels, humming birds, and if I walk a few blocks to the SF Bay, pelicans and some rare seals swimming around. And, although I have never seen them, I smell them---we have skunks. I think there is AT LEAST one skunk that dies here in Alameda once a week. The aroma is quite wonderful. ;)

By the way, you look ABSOLUTELY beautiful! You could easily pass as your daughter's sister! Good job on sticking to your diet!
