You wanted before and afters ... here you go!
The main floor 1/2 bathroom ... a large room. Large enough for a Christmas Tree in the corner ;o) !
The ceilings are gold (turned out cool in this picture with the flash - but they were really weird). The walls are red with a black wash on them. I actually really like the texture and the color on the walls in this bathroom. The gold ceiling really made the room dark. The kids refuse to go in this bathroom. Oh, and the previous owners swiped the mirror.

I found the mirror at Ross. It had some scratches on the frame so they gave me the mirror for $20! I touched up the scratches with a black sharpie ... you'd never know! The white ceiling really opened up the room.

I remember when we moved into Peck, the blue bathroom had silver textured wall paper and big clear icicle hanging lights. YUCK. I learned how to strip the wall paper off and got some baskets that dad turned into lamp shades to replace the hanging icicles. My parents gave me some money to decorate with, so I got the country curtins and shower curtains. Much nicer. mom
