It has been a long time since someone has been home to occupy this bed.  JULIA!!!  (ok, she was home for a couple of days for a surprise visit over Thanksgiving and then a couple of weeks of Christmas).

Julia left in June as a Freshman/Sophmore to attend BYU.  She had to take a pre-requisite class before applying to the super competitive music school.  Tomorrow she comes home a JUNIOR! 

We are excited to have her home for the summer.

Whatcha' gonna do 'bout it?

I swiped Jenna's chips the other night. 

She laughed and hollered after me, "Hey, give them back!"

"What are you going to do about it?" I said and walked away with a big cheesy grin on my face.
 
She crawled quickly after me ... I was still faster ;o)

Sharing

Jenna has a terrible cold.  Kerst made her some soup.

Kendall wanted some too. 

I look over and say, "I hope you are not sharing Jenna's spoon."

"I'm not.  It's her fork."

Oh boy ...

Wipe-out

Kendall had a wipe-out on the school playground blacktop on Monday.

He was looking a bit like our friend, Ty, after the car accident during Spring Break.

This looks much better a day old than it did the day of his wipe-out.

OPU

I love chatting with Julia on the phone.  Random stuff.  Important stuff. 

Tonight I was on-line trying to help her locate potential housing for Fall/Winter semesters at BYU.  The table headings had abbreviations ...  Bdr = bedroom, DEP = Deposit,  SS = Shared spaces available, PS = Private spaces available ...

"OPU, what's that?" I ask Julia.

John pipes in, "That's what you say when someone farts."

I laughed so hard I could have farted.

Jaley told me that she needed a "teasing comb" to use on her bangs/fringe."

"It's a bugging comb,"  Kendall immediately corrected.

I had a good chuckle.

We survived Spring Break ... (I think I need another week off)

We love her so much, she is worth a heart attack

We just love her - Wendi.  Julia knew she had a rough week (I know, I was there!).

So .... Julia got us together to write her notes and heart attack her door.  We headed out just after 11:00 p.m.  It was tricky.  They are night owls, so there were lights on inside.  It was dark outside ... until we walked up.  Their motion sensor on the front porch detected us .... and so did Adi, their dog.

We strategically placed a heart over the peep hole, just in case someone tried to look outside.

It was fun.  I sure hope Beautiful knows how much we love and admire her.

I like to think that Julia was looking and smiling at me the entire time during her BYU Women's Chorus  - Reflections from Vad Vasham (A tribute to the children of the Holocaust) concert on Friday night ... I was looking and smiling at her the entire time.   The music and text were very moving.

She was looking at me and smiling - although a casual observer would note that I was in direct line of Julia's vision with the conductor.

I know she did see me watching her.  Listening.  Taking it all in.  I was in heaven.

And she smiled at me.
