I. Need. Water.

John found some great deals at a going out of business sale this past weekend.  He came home with a much needed new refrigerator.  The fridge that came with the house freezes our food in the refrigerator - even when set on the warmest setting.

John installed the new refrigerator but did not hook up the water line to the ice maker and water dispenser since the line on the old fridge was leaking.  We moved the old fridge into our entryway until we can move it into the hopefully soon-to-be finished basement (this would usually drive me crazy, but since we don't get any surprise drop-in visitors at our new home I didn't come up with a better option ... we are not conveniently located for drop-ins and solicitors)

We were sitting at the kitchen table with our friends Scott and Lorena P. when Julia got up to get a drink of water.  Out of habit she attempted to get water from the water dispenser from the newly installed refrigerator.

"Mom, Dad, the water doesn't work."

"Dad hasn't hooked it up yet."

Julia turned.  I started to laugh as she passed the other water sources: kitchen sink and then the bathroom sink. I knew exactly where she was headed.

"Julia, that fridge doesn't have water either.  There is no waterline running to it."

Granted, she was a little tired after prom.
