We did a second Gross-out Feast this year for the kids and their friends.
It was Gross! The kids even admitted that I did a better job this year!
Appetizers: Ursula's Lipstick and BBQ Bat Wings
Main Dish: Flesh Eating Serpent - the kids were grossed out, but managed to choke it down.
Dessert: Bleeding Heart. Not so realistic, but the kids were so grossed out after I cut into it that they couldn't eat it at all. It was yummy!

so totally awesome! i would have loved to be there for it....to be honest, your flesh eating serpent looks a million times better than the one on that website...i'll need to do something like this next year with some friends.
Ack!! I think I would have been grossed out too. I'm going to have to try this next year.
I defiantly want the recipe. I always try to make some cool Halloween meal for the kids. I have to add these to the menu next year!
I did a search on the internet and found quite a few "gross" dinner ideas. I have learned that the presentation is the key! The recipes are hyper-linked to the name of the menu item (Bleeding Heart and Flesh Eating Serpent). Hope that helps and have fun grossing your family out next year!
I think we might do a Christmas Dinner with the kids (and friends?) and do it all up ... fancy dress, etc. Not sure yet. Advent Calendar activities start Dec 1! This could be one of them!
