I'm their favorite

In our childhood home the girls sat on one side of the table, the boys on the other.

The girls sat next to the counter and cabinets.  In these cabinets, my sister Cara would hide her unwanted peas.  They weren't discovered for a long time.

We still joke about it to this day.

I have had the opportunity to have two of Cara's girls staying with us for several weeks this summer.

And boy have I spoiled them!!!

Better eat them up before your Mom comes back!

I'm now the favorite aunt!!!

Mine or hers?

My sister is in the process of moving and has been able to stay with me off and on over the past month.  During that time I have been teaching her how to paint - Christmas Ornaments.

She picked up on the techniques so quickly!  You can't tell which are mine and which are hers.

I can't wait to see her finished tree after she paints the ornaments her husband has been cutting out for her.

We painted 9 sets of ornaments so far - 6 of each (3 for me, 3 for her).
As if my tree doesn't have enough - you can never have too many ornaments!

The 4th

We spent the 4th of July week at my family reunion.

Spectacular.  With the Logan Temple in the back ... (photos by my sister Shannon)

Needless to say, we all felt like my nephew Max .... wiped out.  Tons of fun.  Tons of memories.
